Myth 1: "Lab grown diamonds are fake"
False. A lab grown diamond is a real diamond — identical carbon crystal, identical hardness, identical sparkle. The recognised gemmological authorities and even trade regulators class it as a diamond. The only difference from a mined diamond is origin. "Fake" stones — like cubic zirconia or moissanite — are different materials entirely (see myth 2).
Myth 2: "It's just cubic zirconia by another name"
Not even close. Cubic zirconia and moissanite are diamond simulants — they look diamond-ish but are made of completely different materials, are far softer, and sparkle differently. A lab grown diamond is chemically the same as a natural diamond. Simulants are imitations; lab grown is the real thing.
Myth 3: "They won't last / they'll cloud over time"
